Ack! A Big Joke on Me!

Today a huge truth was revealed to me with great force. For months now, my guardian angels have been suggesting that I delete a big chunk of old data from my flash drive. So I deleted some files.
Then my flash drive started acting up – sometimes connecting and sometimes not. And I’ve been thinking I should transfer the data on it to another flash drive, but never took the time. So yesterday it quit altogether – the actual drive – the USB port is working fine.
In the middle of all the testing I was doing (just to make sure the drive was really dead) the flash drive in my head came on and I realized that this was the real deal – my files were gone. However, instead of having a panic attack about this, I started laughing. I laughed and laughed, even though some of those files were important and I would have some major rewriting to do. (Significantly, the only file that survived was my journal, only because I had to save it on my desktop yesterday since, unbeknownst to me, that was when my flash drive ultimately gave up).
On a different, but related note, it would now be appropriate to warn you that the name of this blog will soon be changed (for the umpteenth time). I haven’t 100% made up my mind about the new name, but it will reflect the transition I’ve been going through the past few months (thus, the absence of articles) both personally and professionally. Nothing radical, but an important shift in emphasis to Life Purpose, with numerology as the means to its discovery.
I love empowering people to live the purpose they were born for, and I love every time I get a notice that someone has purchased my book. It really thrills me that this person is about to embark on an exciting, life-changing journey of challenge and fulfillment.
I also love doing personal Chaldean Soul Profiles. I love introducing people to their spiritual selves. I love the “Wow” response as we talk about the powerful qualities that make them unique; about the talents that enable them to create the life of their dreams. I love sharing with them how to use their challenges to grow into the powerful individuals they were meant to be.
There are many ways to discover your life purpose. Chaldean numerology is the simplest, quickest way I have found to re-discover who you really are. You will choose the way that is best for you. The important thing to me is that you do it. You deserve to live a life of enjoyment and fulfilling achievement.
So go ahead. Is there anything in your life that you don’t need any longer? Anything you can delete from your files or give or throw away? Maybe you will be more courageous than I was. Maybe you’ll clean all your old stuff out before the universe steps in and causes a major eruption.
Why Isn’t The Law of Attraction Working?
By Andrea Mathews
This article is from OM Times magazine. I just had to share it with you because so many people are asking this question. Do you know who you really are? Share your thoughts with us!
When the law of attraction first came into public awareness approximately 20 years ago, with the writings of Ester and Jerry Hicks and Rhonda Byrne, the thinking was that if you thought positive thoughts, you would attract positive things into your life. This notion was taken very seriously, to the point that many started consciously watching each thought and each word, lest it produce negative consequences. But after a while people began to realize that this wasn’t really working.
So, it was thought it best to include emotions into the paradigm. Now we were not only to think positive but we were to feel positive as well. Well, it turns out that that didn’t work so well either, so then we started exploring the deeper regions of the psyche for that saboteur. The shadow was now the culprit who was keeping us from fulfilling our dreams. But since we didn’t know much about how to work with the unconscious, we sought out healers who were to cut the chords to that old dark material and we would then be free, finally to work our vision boards and affirmations so that our dreams would finally come true. But alas, because in order to work with unconscious material we have to make it conscious, that didn’t work either.
So, what is the problem? It is possible that the whole thing is just unfounded? Well, before we throw the baby out with the wash, we might want to consider the possibility that we need to revise the law. And if we are going to do that, we might want to find out if the soul is really in agreement with the way we are taught to work with this law. For if the soul is actually in charge and the soul doesn’t want to work the way the law of attraction has us working, then the law is not going to work.
Well, it turns out that the soul is in charge and we are not meant to be striving moment-by-moment to bring home the bacon of that financial windfall or that big house in the mountains. That’s just not what it’s all about. It’s about the soul.
The soul’s efforts are always fruitful. That old Bible scripture: My word shall not return to me empty” found in Isaiah 55:11, tells the real story. The soul will accomplish all that it incarnates to accomplish in a given lifetime. And what the soul wants is for us to come to know ourselves as the divine beings we are. It wants us to get in touch with the deepest essence of who we are as Divine Self. And that’s its only intention. Why? Because once upon a time, in a faraway land, long ago, we all took on the duality trance state as our way of seeing ourselves. Because form was created by formlessness, and because every creative endeavor involves the perpetuation of infinite possibility, form asked itself–am I now separate from formlessness, since we appear to be so different?
We’ve been trying to answer that question ever since. So, our entire journey–incarnation after incarnation–is all about finally coming back to the place where we recognize form and formlessness as One. When we do finally unite form and formlessness in our conscious experience, the entire Universe will change and shift into the next stage of evolutionary soul desire.
So, we are not attracting based on our conscious efforts to think positive thoughts and feel positive feelings–an exercise in repression. And we are not attracting based on our efforts to march into the unconscious wearing our army boots and kicking over the gravestones of unresolved issues so that we can kick out any “negative” thoughts and feelings that might arise from that issue–a further exercise in more repression.
Rather we are attracted to and by all of those people, places, events, circumstances and relationships which will bring us to closer and closer awareness of who we are as divine beings–form united with formlessness as conscious experience. Everything that occurs in our lives is brought about for that one reason–so that we can come to know who we really are, below all the masks and costumes of survival.
We can relax then into the flow of life and trust that we are always getting there. We can stop trying to push the river by demanding that the Universe comply with our silly little bargains that IF we think only positive thoughts, and feel only positive feelings, THEN we will get everything we want in life. We are getting everything our souls want constantly and we live in an ever evolving loop of soul desire and fulfillment. So, the question isn’t how can I fulfill my dreams for the external to make me happy. The question is, “Who am I really?” And the answer isn’t to strive after a totally positive mind and totally positive feelings so that the Universe will come into compliant with our dualistic version of life. The answer is to be still, step into the stillness, step into the silence of beingness to find out who we are.

Why You Will Fail to Have a Great Career
In this funny and blunt TED talk , Larry Smith pulls no punches when he calls out the absurd excuses people invent when they fail to pursue their passions. How weird are you? Watch and find out.
Friday Funnies
If you have never listened to Car Talk on PBS radio, I recommend you tune in ASAP. Check out the schedule on your local PBS station and get ready for some laughs – or not. Some people (what world do they live in?) don’t like it, as evidenced in the following hate letters.
He’s Serious
The professional technician’s job is hard enough without a comment similar to the one that you made about a technician draining the oil, talking to his wife about the braces, paying off the bookie and then going to the roach coach.
I have been a Master Tech since 1975 and I take exception to your comments. I have never had a bookie.
Why couldn’t you have said the tool man?

Stop Laughing at Each Other
Why must you constantly laugh at each other or at your stories?
Look at Bob Hope, Bob Newhart, Jack Benny, or any good comedian. When they tell a story and the audience is in an uproar, are they laughing? Never.

The Car Talk guys, Tom and Ray, are true humanitarians, however, as evidenced by the following letter.

Vowels to Bosnia
ask and you shall receive…
Cities of Sjlbvdnzv, Grzny to Be First Recipients
Before an emergency joint session of Congress yesterday, President Clinton announced US plans to deploy over 75,000 vowels to the war-torn region of Bosnia. The deployment, the largest of its kind in American history, will provide the region with the critically needed letters A,E,I,O,U, and Y, and is hoped to render countless Bosnian words more pronounceable.
“For six years, we have stood by while names like Ygrjvslhv and Tzlynhrand Glrm have been horribly butchered by millions around the world,”Clinton said. “Today, the United States must finally stand up and say ‘Enough.’ It is time the people of Bosnia finally had some vowels in their incomprehensible words. The US is proud to lead the crusade in this noble endeavor.”
The deployment, dubbed Operation Vowel Storm by the State Department, is set for early next week, with the Adriatic port cities of Sjlbvdnzv and Grzny slated to be the first recipients. Two C-130 transport planes, each carrying more than 500 24-count boxes of “E’s,” will fly from Andrews Air Force Base across the Atlantic and airdrop the letters over the cities.
Citizens of Grzny and Sjlbvdnzv eagerly await the arrival of the vowels. “My God, I do not think we can last another day,” Trszg Grzdnjkln, 44, said. “I have six children and none of them has a name that is understandable to me or to anyone else. Mr. Clinton, please send my poor, wretched family just one ‘E.’Please.”
Said Sjlbvdnzv resident, Grg Hmphrs, 67: “With just a few key letters, I could be George Humphries. This is my dream.”
If the initial airlift is successful, Clinton said the United States will go ahead with full-scale vowel deployment, with C-130′s airdropping thousands more letters over every area of Bosnia. Other nations are expected to pitch in as well, including 10,000 British “A’s” and 6,500 Canadian “U’s.” Japan, rich in A’s and O’s, was asked to participate, but declined.
“With these valuable letters, the people of war-ravaged Bosnia will be able to make some terrific new words,” Clinton said. “It should be very exciting for them, and much easier for us to read their maps.”
Linguists praise the US’s decision to send the vowels. For decades they have struggled with the hard consonants and difficult pronunciation of most Slavic words. “Vowels are crucial to construction of all language, “Baylor University linguist Noam Frankel said. “Without them, it would be difficult to utter a single word, much less organize a coherent sentence. Please, just don’t get me started on the moon-man languages they use in those Eastern European countries.”
According to Frankel, once the Bosnians have vowels, they will be able to construct such valuable sentences as: “The potatoes are ready”; “I believe it will rain”; and “All my children are dead from the war” [And "Oh my God, there's an axe in my head." ?]
The airdrop represents the largest deployment of any letter to a foreign country since 1984. During the summer of that year, the US shipped 92,000 consonants to Ethiopia, providing cities like Ouaouoaua, Eaoiiuae, and Aaowith vital, lifegiving supplies of L’s, S’s and T’s. The consonant-relief effort failed, however, when vast quantities of the letters were intercepted and hoarded by violent, gun-toting warlords.
Have a great weekend, and live your purpose every day!
Ack!
My computer is half-down. That is, it freezes up after accessing the Internet, but word processing works fine. Until I get it fixed, I will be accessing the Internet through alternative means (another computer). The weird thing is, this is happening on both my desktop and laptop. And my modem is working perfectly.
Oh well, nothing to do but learn from this. Hm. I was considering the life lesson(s) that may be in this as I watched the mouse arrow skipping, rather than gliding, across the screen, a signal that the computer was about to freeze up. The message that came to me was, “Start, stop – start, stop.” Could I be doing this in my life some way? Yes, I could, I thought. Starting new things is always exciting to me, but I tend to lose interest as soon as the newness wears off, or when I begin to doubt myself (all tendencies reflected in my Chaldean Soul Chart).
Another message came through as I contemplated the mouse’s arrow – “Focus.” I’ve been having challenges focusing lately. The message made perfect sense.
I now have two lessons to learn from this unpleasant surprise. More lessons may come forward as I explore these. I’ll keep you posted.
In former times, I would have been wringing my hands and loudly lamenting my bad luck. But I have gradually transformed issues connected to this type of situation and experienced the advantages of making other choices. Not easy, but the effort has paid off in undreamed-of ways.
Meanwhile, I may not respond immediately to your comments, but I will do my best to keep up with you. I hope all goes well with you and your computer, and thanks for your support.
You Were Born That Way
This was the original title of my book until someone suggested it might be interpreted in a way I hadn’t intended. For instance, some people might
think the book was about the things they didn’t like about themselves or that it could be an excuse for some people to act like jerks. So I changed the title to “You Were Born to Succeed.”
And you were also born that way – that is, with certain characteristics and qualities that make you unique. If you were a computer, it would mean that all your programs had been automatically installed before birth. And they would all be up and running from the minute you came out of the womb. Some of your programs wouldn’t be evident until you reached a certain age, but they would be there nonetheless.
Your programs, installed some time after conception and before birth, would consist of all your spiritual knowledge and wisdom in addition to all the information needed to build your physical body. Unlike a computer, your programs would grow and develop with experience. As a newborn, you knew who you were, where you came from, and where you were going. Following the rules of the game on earth, you forgot all this a short time after you took your first breath.
But the information is still there, and easily accessible if you choose to uncover it, in the letters and numbers of your birth name and birth date. If you are one of the few who have learned to live in your heart and trust your instincts, you don’t need this information. For you, it’s backup in case you lose your way, since you are automatically following your life purpose. If you are not one of these few, you may want to look yourself up in your own personal book of life by learning to use Chaldean numerology through my book (click on the Select Authors image) or by contacting me, and I will open the book for you.
My wish is that everyone on earth lives a successful life by following their purpose. My intention is to help as many people as I can to accomplish it.
Live your purpose every day.
Interview with Nancy Fairbrother
Hello Everyone!
We are delighted to have author Nancy Fairbrother amongst us today at Musikdiv India Online Magazine at our Special 'Authors Festival' interview series to tell us about her new book You Were Born to Succeed: Finding Your Purpose Through Numerology !
Please read on ...
Have you ever wondered if you have a divine purpose in life? This book shows that you do and reveals how to discover it by using the ancient science of Chaldean numerology.
How Numerology Helped Save a Marriage
When you take responsibility for your life, miracles can happen. As we all know, life includes challenges. The way we handle challenges determines how fulfilled we are.
Your life challenges are indicated in your life plan, and so are the clues to mastering those challenges. A crisis in a marriage is a clear illustration of this. I did the Chaldean Soul Charts of a couple who had been married for more than 20 years.
Without going into detail, the couple subsequently encountered a challenge that could have ended their marriage. Instead, they took responsibility for their lives and chose to use their Chaldean Soul Charts to help them turn their crisis into a learning experience for each of them. They chose to face their challenges and risk being vulnerable to each other. Working out their issues enabled them to reach a deeper level of trust in each other that added a new dimension of loving to their relationship.
When people are willing to choose growth over drama, they experience a higher level of freedom to be themselves. I’ve experienced this myself. From the first time I calculated my Chaldean Soul Chart, I began to use the information there to help me resolve my own challenges. My life has become more and more joyful as I have chosen to learn from my issues.
It hasn’t been easy to let go of old habits that I thought were protecting me; for example, needing to be right. Life became so much easier once I was willing to let go and allow myself to be “imperfect.” Relationships seemed to automatically work themselves out for the highest good. Crises became opportunities to take my life in directions I could never have imagined.
But this post isn’t about me. The point is, freedom is at your fingertips. Your challenges are the keys to opening the doors to your personal freedom. It’s a frightening risk to face your challenges, but it is the only risk that always pays off with a happier life.
Live your purpose every day.
