The Law of Attraction in Action
By now almost everybody knows that the Law of Attraction brings you what you think about. There are hundreds of articles, blogs, books, and websites about activating the Law of Attraction in your life. Many of us forget that using the Law of Attraction is effortless. You don’t have to be “spiritual” to experience it. It is always in action, and it works for everyone. If we pay attention to what’s happening, we see it everywhere.
From time to time, I forget to notice the Law of Attraction in my life. If I’m in haste mode and perceive it’s not working for me, I create static about it. So I’ve decided to start a project, beginning today, to notice the Law of Attraction in my life. My intention, each day for the next three months, is to write down some way the Law of Attraction has demonstrated itself in my life. By then, noticing the Law of Attraction in my life should be as automatic as breathing.
Why bother? This project will show me the quality of my thinking, since some examples will be negative and some positive. I expect to learn to create more of what I want in my life and less of what I don’t want.
Sometimes the Law of Attraction is not obvious to us, or perhaps our experience of it is so insignificant (it’s manifesting with small things) that it’s hard to see. I had an experience several months ago that illustrates this.
One day I noticed that one of the tires on my car was low on air, so I went to my neighborhood gas station to fill it up. Much to my surprise, I noticed that now they are charging $1.00 for 3 minutes of air. I got angry because … first of all, air is free – we breathe it all the time without paying for it; second, I don’t need 3 minutes of air – only a few seconds; third, the bastards got us again. You will agree with me, an unenlightened attitude.
Incensed, I went to several other gas stations and found the same was true at each one. So I decided not to fill up my tire that day. Naturally, I knew that an issue was up. It nagged at me for several days. To make a long story short, I was eventually willing to resolve my issue (I can be stubborn) and let it go. I still wanted free air, but there was no emotional charge on it any more.
Soon after that, I stopped at the air pump of a grocery store where I had been shopping, now willing to pay. I got in line behind a man who was just finishing up with his tire. As he pulled away and I pulled up at the pump, the man stopped his car and got out. I was surprised, because it was a cold, rainy day. As he approached me, he said, “There’s plenty of air left. You can have the rest of mine.” Not only that, he filled the tire for me. Wow. Needless to say, I thanked him profusely. In addition to getting the air for free, I loved the chivalry of this classy man.
It was a small thing, but it made my day.
What about you? Want to join me in my project? It would be fun to share experiences. How is the Law of Attraction working in your life? Just tell us in the comments section. If enough people respond, I’ll create a blog post just for our comments.
Live your purpose every day.
Happy I
Br'er Rabbit and the Tar-Baby, drawing by E.W. Kemble from The Tar-Baby, by Joel Chandler Harris, 1904 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
I titled this article “Happy I” because I may write Happy II, Happy III, etc. “How to be happy” is a search occurring 55,600,000 times each month on Google. In understatement, it seems many want to be happier.
Something’s Gotta Give
2012, a number 5 year, brings forward issues and opportunities around freedom, of casting aside the structures that have limited our inspired vision. This is a year of possibility, of openness and adventure. Many of our mental structures are beginning to crumble, cracks are showing up in our emotional walls. Our immediate response is to try to shore those walls up again, but it doesn’t work, and this makes us unhappy. We feel stuck.
To reap the freedom and possibility of the number 5, we need to let go of what is holding us back. We need to allow ourselves to jump off our mental cliffs and fly like eagles; or to put it less dramatically, to move out of our comfort zones. Many of us are caught between a rock and a hard place. We are afraid to move forward, but if we stay where we are we’re stuck like Br’er Rabbit to the tar baby.
Personal Experience
Not surprisingly, I’ve been feeling hemmed in, fenced in, stuck, and tied down; uninterested, unenthusiastic, tired, and bored. I’m still functioning, still enjoying life somewhat, but missing out on real fulfillment. So I decided to let go; of what, I wasn’t sure. I turned the matter over to my spiritual guides, and things began to happen.
My behavior began to change from negative to positive with respect to certain fixed ideas. I was led to a chakra assessment online, and it was a doozy. I am using my crystals to balance and heal my chakras now, and my enthusiasm level is going up daily. I found a book in my library that I’ve had for a couple years but had never read. In it are questions that point like radar to the issues that hold the key to elevating my joy quotient. My answers astonished me. I didn’t realize I how trapped was in some of the old habits of my past.
Breaking Through
I want to share with you the insightful questions that jolted me out of my doldrums. They are from the book, “Quantum Success,” by Sandra Anne Taylor.
- Generally speaking, what are the things you’re most conscious of – that is, what do you tend to think about the most? Are you more conscious of what you have or what you lack?
- What’s your most important career goal? How much time do you spend each day consciously focusing on its success?
- What’s the most prevalent habit, pattern, or even addiction in your life? How much time do you spend each day engaging in this habit? How conscious of it are you when you’re not doing it?
- Do you tend to focus more on the positives of your day or the problems that come up? Does your thought process tend to be more negative or positive?
What will your answers reveal to you?
Transformation and Possibility
The cliché is true: happiness is an inside job. Feelings like being stuck, depressed, discouraged, etc., are not bad things. They tell us that something is wrong inside ourselves and that we have the power to change. We have a choice to remain where we are or take the leap into a new way of living.
Everyone has his/her own answers. If you are experiencing symptoms of stuckness, you may want to consider turning your frustration over to your spiritual Source. How exciting it could be to allow new perspectives to unfold, in the perfect way for you, according to your highest good.
Now that I’ve gotten a start, I’m looking forward to experiencing more freedom and possibility in my life as I clear out the obstacles to my success. The most astounding revelation for me is that, as I pursue this healing path, I am led to live my purpose in deeper and more exciting ways than I can imagine.
Whatever your path is, you can, too.
Live your purpose every day.

Friday Funnies
If you have never listened to Car Talk on PBS radio, I recommend you tune in ASAP. Check out the schedule on your local PBS station and get ready for some laughs – or not. Some people (what world do they live in?) don’t like it, as evidenced in the following hate letters.
He’s Serious
The professional technician’s job is hard enough without a comment similar to the one that you made about a technician draining the oil, talking to his wife about the braces, paying off the bookie and then going to the roach coach.
I have been a Master Tech since 1975 and I take exception to your comments. I have never had a bookie.
Why couldn’t you have said the tool man?
– Stephen
Stop Laughing at Each Other
Why must you constantly laugh at each other or at your stories?
Look at Bob Hope, Bob Newhart, Jack Benny, or any good comedian. When they tell a story and the audience is in an uproar, are they laughing? Never.
–Paul
The Car Talk guys, Tom and Ray, are true humanitarians, however, as evidenced by the following letter.

Vowels to Bosnia
ask and you shall receive…
Cities of Sjlbvdnzv, Grzny to Be First Recipients
Before an emergency joint session of Congress yesterday, President Clinton announced US plans to deploy over 75,000 vowels to the war-torn region of Bosnia. The deployment, the largest of its kind in American history, will provide the region with the critically needed letters A,E,I,O,U, and Y, and is hoped to render countless Bosnian words more pronounceable.
“For six years, we have stood by while names like Ygrjvslhv and Tzlynhrand Glrm have been horribly butchered by millions around the world,”Clinton said. “Today, the United States must finally stand up and say ‘Enough.’ It is time the people of Bosnia finally had some vowels in their incomprehensible words. The US is proud to lead the crusade in this noble endeavor.”
The deployment, dubbed Operation Vowel Storm by the State Department, is set for early next week, with the Adriatic port cities of Sjlbvdnzv and Grzny slated to be the first recipients. Two C-130 transport planes, each carrying more than 500 24-count boxes of “E’s,” will fly from Andrews Air Force Base across the Atlantic and airdrop the letters over the cities.
Citizens of Grzny and Sjlbvdnzv eagerly await the arrival of the vowels. “My God, I do not think we can last another day,” Trszg Grzdnjkln, 44, said. “I have six children and none of them has a name that is understandable to me or to anyone else. Mr. Clinton, please send my poor, wretched family just one ‘E.’Please.”
Said Sjlbvdnzv resident, Grg Hmphrs, 67: “With just a few key letters, I could be George Humphries. This is my dream.”
If the initial airlift is successful, Clinton said the United States will go ahead with full-scale vowel deployment, with C-130′s airdropping thousands more letters over every area of Bosnia. Other nations are expected to pitch in as well, including 10,000 British “A’s” and 6,500 Canadian “U’s.” Japan, rich in A’s and O’s, was asked to participate, but declined.
“With these valuable letters, the people of war-ravaged Bosnia will be able to make some terrific new words,” Clinton said. “It should be very exciting for them, and much easier for us to read their maps.”
Linguists praise the US’s decision to send the vowels. For decades they have struggled with the hard consonants and difficult pronunciation of most Slavic words. “Vowels are crucial to construction of all language, “Baylor University linguist Noam Frankel said. “Without them, it would be difficult to utter a single word, much less organize a coherent sentence. Please, just don’t get me started on the moon-man languages they use in those Eastern European countries.”
According to Frankel, once the Bosnians have vowels, they will be able to construct such valuable sentences as: “The potatoes are ready”; “I believe it will rain”; and “All my children are dead from the war” [And "Oh my God, there's an axe in my head." ?]
The airdrop represents the largest deployment of any letter to a foreign country since 1984. During the summer of that year, the US shipped 92,000 consonants to Ethiopia, providing cities like Ouaouoaua, Eaoiiuae, and Aaowith vital, lifegiving supplies of L’s, S’s and T’s. The consonant-relief effort failed, however, when vast quantities of the letters were intercepted and hoarded by violent, gun-toting warlords.

Outside Influence in Everyday Life
Outside influence is a common occurrence. It is not possession, but influence by confused entities who are attached to life in the physical realm. Everyone on earth has been influenced by confused, disembodied spirits. Some people go through their entire lives under the influence of confused souls and don’t even realize it.
Outside influence is so subtle we don’t recognize it. Spirit possession, in which a person is taken over by a negative entity, is rare. I know it’s difficult, and even frightening, to imagine oneself being influenced by confused entities, but if you think of discarnate souls as similar to yourself except for the physical body, it might be easier to see the possibilities. We are influenced every day by our friends, co-workers, and families. Influence by discarnate souls is different only in the sense that it comes from the spiritual realm.
How Does Outside Influence Happen?
Outside influence can be the result of attachments from past lives. In other cases, it occurs in traumatic circumstances, such as severe and prolonged illness, hospital stays, including operations, and traumatic accidents. Trauma such as rape can be influenced by discarnate spirits. Addiction is another situation that discarnate spirits attach to.
Discarnate entities can cause serious disruption of relationships, finances, and health. Outside influence can cause illness and accidents, as well. In the news recently was a story about twelve teen-age girls in New York State who are suffering from Touret’s-like symptoms. So far, the cause of these symptoms has not been determined. Environmental pollution and other factors are being explored. Perhaps as we become more open and less frightened of paranormal phenomena, exploration of spirit possession will be considered as a matter of course in situations like this. Freeing discarnate entities heals on many levels.
Mental hospitals are full of discarnate spirits. Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len is a Hawaiian psychologist and master teacher of ho’oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian healing practice. During his time as a staff psychologist at Hawaii State Hospital in a high-security unit housing criminally insane patients, he used ho’oponopono to completely change the energy in the unit. Patients were transformed from violent, shackled men feared by staff members to individuals able to take responsibility for their actions and engage in useful activities. The quality of life for patients and staff shifted from custodial to caring. Family visits took place. Staff turnover decreased markedly.
This happened without Dr. Len’s presence in the ward and without therapy sessions with the men. Ho’oponopono healed the discarnate entities as well as the patients in the ward. You can read about Dr. Len’s fascinating experience in the book “Zero Limits” by Joe Vitale and Dr. Len. You may also want to visit Dr. Len’s website.
What Are the Symptoms of Outside Influence?
Much of our mind chatter is due to influence from discarnate entities. We even have language that expresses the phenomenon of outside influence: “I’m just not myself today,” “I’m not quite here,” “That’s not like me,” “I don’t know what got into me.”
Symptoms of discarnate entity influence can be subtle or obvious. Any negative emotional state that one can’t seem to shake, such as anger, depression, anxiety, feeling unloved, isolated, or inferior can be due to outside influence. Thoughts that are not characteristic, such as thoughts of suicide or doing violence are often from outside influence. Cravings and obsessions can also be due to outside influence.
What Can We Do About Outside Influence?
Thoughts are things. It’s important to be aware of your thoughts and what they are doing to your quality of life. If one spends a great deal of time and energy in a negative state of mind, sooner or later s/he will attract a discarnate entity who is in the same state of mind. Then it becomes necessary to get help to free the unwanted entity. Our thoughts and beliefs are so powerful that they affect everything in our lives. Taking responsibility to change negative habits is the most important thing we can do to reduce the incidence of outside influence.
I encourage everyone to learn more about entity attachment in order to dispel the fear associated with it. If you Google “spirit releasement therapy” you will find good web sites with reliable information shared by professionals in the field. Any source that sensationalizes entity attachment is using it as a means to attract attention and is not a good source of reliable information.
Part of my mission is to show that the physical and spiritual realms are two sides of the same coin, and we live in both realms in every minute of every day. Consciously using all the potential we were born with can be an amazingly exciting adventure. I hope this series has been interesting and enlightening to you.
Live your purpose every day.

Exorcism and Soul Releasement
What is exorcism?
A definition of exorcism by the Free Online Dictionary says exorcism is a ceremony to expel an evil spirit from a person or place. Most Christians know exorcism through the Catholic church as a violent and frightening process. Other Christian religions such as Pentecostals and other charismatic groups also practice exorcism. It has been practiced for centuries worldwide in Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and among tribal cultures.
In the Christian religion, the key concept in exorcism is that an entity who has taken over a person’s body is an evil demon and must be removed forcibly. This creates a battle between the “demon” and the exorcist(s), each side determined to show the other who is right. When the “demon” is finally expelled from the body, it is made to swear an oath or commanded to depart rather than being directed to a specific destination. It seems the person, now freed from influence, is not given any counsel about how to remain free of outside influence in the future.
I have never worked with “demons,” but in counseling a client once, I saw a group of violently angry entities waiting for her, and I knew that if she continued on the path she had been pursuing, she would eventually meet up with them. She had been hurt so deeply by an important person in her life that she was unwilling to forgive, and she was on her way to being taken in by this group.
Soul Releasement
A more recent method of dealing with disembodied spirits involves seeing them as confused souls who need healing rather than as evil entities. While soul releasement was part of my metaphysical training, other psychotherapists, such as Dr. Edith Fiore, developed their own methods of freeing confused souls as a result of surprise encounters during psychotherapy sessions. Dr. Carl A. Wickland was a pioneer in the field of abnormal psychology who practiced soul releasement with much success. Dr. William J. Baldwin called the process he developed spirit releasement therapy. The process goes by different names, depending on who developed it, but it is conducted basically the same way with minor variations.
How It’s Done
I conducted many soul releasement sessions (which I call entity release) in my practice of psychotherapy, so I’ll share with you the way I did it. My first priority was to determine that my client’s disturbing feelings were due to a possession and not something else. Next, I began working with the attached entity, either through a psychic medium or through my spiritual guides. My client was a witness, and not a participant in this part of the process, although I would check with my client from time to time to see how s/he was relating to what was occurring as I worked with the entity.
To begin, I asked the entity to identify itself, tell me why it was with my client, and what it wanted. After clarifying this information, I let the entity know that it had passed on and no longer had a physical body. I let the entity know how it had been negatively influencing the client, and that it was time to go on to the next step in its evolution.
Sometimes the confused souls were unwilling to move on. They may have felt frightened or angry or that the client needed them for protection, so I would address their concerns. After resolving their concerns, I would introduce them to their own spiritual helpers, who were prepared to take them to the light, where they would be lovingly welcomed.
Once it was established that the entity was willing to go, I asked the entity and my client if there was anything they wanted to say before leaving. Usually there was forgiveness given and received, or love and reassurance expressed, then goodbyes, and the entity would go into the light with its spiritual helpers.
The sessions were emotional for the client and the entity; sometimes the attachments were due to misguided love. Whatever the attachment was about, healing always occurred. This was the reward for me. I had the fulfillment of witnessing healing of my client, as well as of the formerly attached entity. The final step was to regroup with my client, coaching him/her on how to stay clear of further attachment and how to alter the habits that had attracted the entity.
The most important thing about conducting this non-confrontational type of soul release is that spirit conducts the session. The facilitator never gets emotionally involved with the entity and is guided by spirit through every step of the process. If an entity becomes difficult, it is important to allow the spirit guides to handle the situation. I remember an entity visiting me several days before a scheduled session.
I noticed him in my house, floating near the ceiling, and at first he seemed threatening. I eventually realized he was afraid of losing his attachment to the physical, as he knew about the impending session, and was checking me out. I did not address the entity directly, but told my spiritual helpers I was willing to allow him to observe me, and I wanted them to see that he did not try to influence me in any way. He left my house after a couple of days, and the session for his release went smoothly and easily.
There is more information about soul releasement at the following web sites: http://www.soulrescuesite.com/spirit-releasement-therapy.htm, http://www.spiritreleasement.org/NSITE/index.html, and http://depossessiontherapy.com.
Soul releasement is perfectly safe when it is conducted in an organized, step-by-step manner. Providing a safe structure gives the confused soul boundaries and the security it needs to engage in the process.
The next, and last, article in this series will be a kind of summary and will talk about the symptoms of influence by a disembodied spirit.

Ack!
My computer is half-down. That is, it freezes up after accessing the Internet, but word processing works fine. Until I get it fixed, I will be accessing the Internet through alternative means (another computer). The weird thing is, this is happening on both my desktop and laptop. And my modem is working perfectly.
Oh well, nothing to do but learn from this. Hm. I was considering the life lesson(s) that may be in this as I watched the mouse arrow skipping, rather than gliding, across the screen, a signal that the computer was about to freeze up. The message that came to me was, “Start, stop – start, stop.” Could I be doing this in my life some way? Yes, I could, I thought. Starting new things is always exciting to me, but I tend to lose interest as soon as the newness wears off, or when I begin to doubt myself (all tendencies reflected in my Chaldean Soul Chart).
Another message came through as I contemplated the mouse’s arrow – “Focus.” I’ve been having challenges focusing lately. The message made perfect sense.
I now have two lessons to learn from this unpleasant surprise. More lessons may come forward as I explore these. I’ll keep you posted.
In former times, I would have been wringing my hands and loudly lamenting my bad luck. But I have gradually transformed issues connected to this type of situation and experienced the advantages of making other choices. Not easy, but the effort has paid off in undreamed-of ways.
Meanwhile, I may not respond immediately to your comments, but I will do my best to keep up with you. I hope all goes well with you and your computer, and thanks for your support.
Friday Funnies – Engrish
“Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” Victor Borge.
I love this quote!
I found a site that has only clean jokes on it. It is called:
Will and Guy’s Funny Clean Jokes
Will and Guy’s Funny Clean Jokes, Short Stories and Amusing Pictures
http://www.guy-sports.com/humor/pictures/picture_engrish_japanese.htm
You can tell by the name of the site that Will and Guy are English. But that’s okay, because some of these jokes are actually funny (sorry Brits, but sometimes we just don’t get your humor).
Here is what Will and Guy have to say about Engrish.
Engrish is the name for the occidental writing which appears on Japanese signs. The companies, or their sign writers, wish to give a product cachet, but the result is a funny English phrase. To the Japanese readers, the Engrish words are meaningless since most speak English about as well as most westerners speak Japanese. Little do they know that the English translation has a fatal flaw.
And there you have your Engrish lesson for the week. Have a great weekend!
P.S. Sorry about the terrible formatting (this part was supposed to be at the bottom). I need someone who knows how to do this stuff.

In A Rut
Millions of people are overwhelmed with financial, relationship, career, and health challenges. They are stuck, frustrated, and exhausted. It’s hard for them to stay motivated. Maybe you are one of them.
Usually when you’re stuck, it means you’ve lost touch with who you are. What if you could learn a simple way to get back on the path you were meant for? The occult science of numerology can help you get out of your rut and make a new start.
A Brief History of Numerology
Let’s look at the word occult. It’s a simple word with a simple meaning: hidden. Profound and brilliant sciences, such as astrology and numerology, were developed thousands of years ago to empower people to be the best they could be. They were so effective that rulers took them away from the masses so they could establish undisputed control. They became hidden, or occult sciences, permitted only to the wealthy and powerful.
Eventually, these ancient sciences became a source of fear that continues to this day. For this reason, they have been largely overlooked as the practical tools they are for gaining fulfillment in life.
It is natural to fear what we don’t know. But learning about what we fear transforms our lives by freeing us to make more choices. I am very excited about re-introducing the ancient science of numerology to everyone who is searching for meaning in their life.
The Benefits of Numerology
Numerology is an ideal step toward self-realization. It provides the foundation upon which to build the life you’ve always wanted.
In about an hour you can rediscover who you are by learning simple calculations based on your birth name and birth date. Numerology shows you how to capitalize on your strengths and how to build strength from your challenges. Best of all, you learn that all it takes to be successful is to be yourself.
Anyone can use numerology. It works for people of every age and walk of life. Parents can use numerology to guide their children to become fulfilled, mature adults. It can help you resolve emotional issues, discover the right calling or profession, and gain insight into relationships, financial issues, and health issues.
I am privileged to help people start on the path to personal freedom by using this ancient science. I write about it to help change the perception of numerology from something fearful to a benefit full of possibility. One day this science will no longer be termed occult.
You were born with a convenient, easy-to-understand instruction book cleverly concealed in your birth name and birth date. As the saying goes, “When all else fails, read the instructions.”
Live your purpose every day.
