Yeee-haa! I’ve just received a great honor – the Creative Chaos Award! The Kofegeek has kindly nominated me for this prestigious award! Check out her blog at http://kofegeek.wordpress.com. Not only is she a talented coffee drinker, she’s a talented writer and artist, too. Reading her articles is like getting a caffeine energy high. Thank you Kofegeek!
There are rules to accepting this award. It doesn’t come easy; but then, nothing of value is easily won.
The Rules as I received them:
1. You must tell 3 completely weird things about your habits. If you claim to have no weird habits, you’re lying and we’ll have to send an investigative team for further analysis.
2. You must tell why you look at the “glass half full” scenario and ask, “What? No coffee?”
3. Complete any one of the following essay questions:
A. You find yourself in a desolate place when your car breaks down. You have no cell phone service, no Walmart (I know, GASP, right?), and only a candy bar for food. It is 150 miles to the closest town. What color are your pants and why?
B. You find yourself having to ride an elevator quite frequently. How do you pass the time to show off your creativity?
4. Then you are to nominate 5 random people and let them know.
5. Make sure to show proper gratitude to the person who nominated you whether that is to shower them with gifts, prizes, and cash or to see that they are put into a clown costume and photographed for internet mocking.
6. Make sure to post the award somewhere other than the underside of the toilet seat.
1. Weird things:
a. Being the empathic personality that I am, I like to run my hands over smooth fabrics, sometimes increasing the surface area by gathering them between my fingers. It makes me feel so peaceful. Maybe this is an alternative to a pacifier, which I was not allowed to have at the appropriate time in life.
b. Making outlines like this.
c. I relax at the beginning of the day rather than at the end. I am a night person, and getting started in the morning is a real chore. On the other hand, I often work right up to the time I fall into bed for the night.
2. Glass half full: coffee is my drug of choice. When it comes to coffee, the glass is half empty until it’s full.
3. a. My pants are loud, plaid golfer’s pants. How else to ward off wild beasts and attract the attention of the occasional passing motorist as I slog, munching my candy bar, the 150 miles into town?
I’m reading “The Field” by Lynne McTaggart, which is about further discoveries in the Unified Field, and it inspired me to share this excerpt of my book with you which explains how numerology works. It is from Part I of the book, (The Foundation) which talks about the spiritual energy of who we are and how we create with it. Part II (The Technology)
contains the formulas and interpretations that enable you to build and understand your unique numerological profile, called your Chaldean Soul Chart.

Chapter 3: The Mystery of Numbers
Known as the father of numbers, Pythagoras said, “The world is built upon the power of numbers.”
Galileo is perhaps the first in Western science to clearly state that the laws of nature are mathematical. In The Assayer he wrote “Philosophy is written in this grand book, the universe … It is written in the language of mathematics, and its characters are triangles, circles, and other geometric figures; . . .”
The Fibonnaci Series
If you take a close look at nature, you will see numbers everywhere. Look at a sunflower, for example. You can easily see the spiral patterns in the middle of the flower. If you count the seed heads, you will find that they are arranged in a series: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, etc. Each number is the sum of the two that precede it. If you divide each number by the number that follows it, you come close to the number 0.618, which is the measure of ideal proportions. This is the Fibonacci series, named for its creator, an Italian mathematician named Leonardo Fibonacci, in 1202. Here is a wonderful picture of this and a more detailed explanation.
The Golden Section
The ratio of 0.618 is known as the divine proportion, or the golden section, which has been used by artists and architects since ancient times to establish ideal geometrical proportions in their work. The Fibonacci series and the golden section are two elements of what is termed Sacred Geometry. Sacred Geometry is an ancient science that explores and explains the energy patterns that create and unify all things, and reveals the precise way that the energy of Creation organizes itself.
Another element of Sacred Geometry is exemplified in the Platonic Solids, five geometric shapes that are the foundation of everything in the physical world. On every scale, every natural pattern of growth or movement conforms inevitably to one or more of the Platonic Solids. Modern scholars ridiculed this idea until the 1980s, when Professor Robert Moon at the University of Chicago demonstrated that the entire Periodic Table of Elements—literally everything in the physical world—is based on these same five forms!
Designs of the world’s great cathedrals and holy places are based on the principles of Sacred Geometry. The ancients knew that the beautiful patterns and intricate codes and measurements of Sacred Geometry were symbolic of our own spirit and the subtle structure of awareness. They believed that Sacred Geometry actually formed energy patterns in the structures they built that helped create the serenity and peace that was essential to the experience of being connected to the Creator.
The Meaning of Numbers
All of life is explained or expressed in numbers. Numbers give us concrete references about the size and shape of everything and about the relationships between objects. Statistics measure everything from thought patterns and behaviors to the average number of television sets per household. Abstract mathematical formulas bring the unseen into the material world, as in the invisible particles and waves discovered through quantum physics.
Numbers give us the means to measure the energy radiating from our bodies, as well as the area of our living rooms. Numbers are the interpreters of energy, whether seen or unseen. Numbers reveal the harmony of the universe, as in the Golden Mean, the Fibonacci series, and the Platonic Solids. Numbers help us bring ideas into reality.
Numerology is an ancient and respected number system that expresses the unseen in us; our soul’s purpose, the mystery of who we are. Once you know the formulas I am going to show you, your life will no longer be a mystery to you.
If you have never listened to Car Talk on PBS radio, I recommend you tune in ASAP. Check out the schedule on your local PBS station and get ready for some laughs – or not. Some people (what world do they live in?) don’t like it, as evidenced in the following hate letters.
The professional technician’s job is hard enough without a comment similar to the one that you made about a technician draining the oil, talking to his wife about the braces, paying off the bookie and then going to the roach coach.
I have been a Master Tech since 1975 and I take exception to your comments. I have never had a bookie.
Why couldn’t you have said the tool man?
Stop Laughing at Each Other
Why must you constantly laugh at each other or at your stories?
Look at Bob Hope, Bob Newhart, Jack Benny, or any good comedian. When they tell a story and the audience is in an uproar, are they laughing? Never.
The Car Talk guys, Tom and Ray, are true humanitarians, however, as evidenced by the following letter.

Vowels to Bosnia
ask and you shall receive…
Cities of Sjlbvdnzv, Grzny to Be First Recipients
Before an emergency joint session of Congress yesterday, President Clinton announced US plans to deploy over 75,000 vowels to the war-torn region of Bosnia. The deployment, the largest of its kind in American history, will provide the region with the critically needed letters A,E,I,O,U, and Y, and is hoped to render countless Bosnian words more pronounceable.
“For six years, we have stood by while names like Ygrjvslhv and Tzlynhrand Glrm have been horribly butchered by millions around the world,”Clinton said. “Today, the United States must finally stand up and say ‘Enough.’ It is time the people of Bosnia finally had some vowels in their incomprehensible words. The US is proud to lead the crusade in this noble endeavor.”
The deployment, dubbed Operation Vowel Storm by the State Department, is set for early next week, with the Adriatic port cities of Sjlbvdnzv and Grzny slated to be the first recipients. Two C-130 transport planes, each carrying more than 500 24-count boxes of “E’s,” will fly from Andrews Air Force Base across the Atlantic and airdrop the letters over the cities.
Citizens of Grzny and Sjlbvdnzv eagerly await the arrival of the vowels. “My God, I do not think we can last another day,” Trszg Grzdnjkln, 44, said. “I have six children and none of them has a name that is understandable to me or to anyone else. Mr. Clinton, please send my poor, wretched family just one ‘E.’Please.”
Said Sjlbvdnzv resident, Grg Hmphrs, 67: “With just a few key letters, I could be George Humphries. This is my dream.”
If the initial airlift is successful, Clinton said the United States will go ahead with full-scale vowel deployment, with C-130’s airdropping thousands more letters over every area of Bosnia. Other nations are expected to pitch in as well, including 10,000 British “A’s” and 6,500 Canadian “U’s.” Japan, rich in A’s and O’s, was asked to participate, but declined.
“With these valuable letters, the people of war-ravaged Bosnia will be able to make some terrific new words,” Clinton said. “It should be very exciting for them, and much easier for us to read their maps.”
Linguists praise the US’s decision to send the vowels. For decades they have struggled with the hard consonants and difficult pronunciation of most Slavic words. “Vowels are crucial to construction of all language, “Baylor University linguist Noam Frankel said. “Without them, it would be difficult to utter a single word, much less organize a coherent sentence. Please, just don’t get me started on the moon-man languages they use in those Eastern European countries.”
According to Frankel, once the Bosnians have vowels, they will be able to construct such valuable sentences as: “The potatoes are ready”; “I believe it will rain”; and “All my children are dead from the war” [And “Oh my God, there’s an axe in my head.” ?]
The airdrop represents the largest deployment of any letter to a foreign country since 1984. During the summer of that year, the US shipped 92,000 consonants to Ethiopia, providing cities like Ouaouoaua, Eaoiiuae, and Aaowith vital, lifegiving supplies of L’s, S’s and T’s. The consonant-relief effort failed, however, when vast quantities of the letters were intercepted and hoarded by violent, gun-toting warlords.
Have a great weekend, and live your purpose every day!
Outside influence is a common occurrence. It is not possession, but influence by confused entities who are attached to life in the physical realm. Everyone on earth has been influenced by confused, disembodied spirits. Some people go through their entire lives under the influence of confused souls and don’t even realize it.
Outside influence is so subtle we don’t recognize it. Spirit possession, in which a person is taken over by a negative entity, is rare. I know it’s difficult, and even frightening, to imagine oneself being influenced by confused entities, but if you think of discarnate souls as similar to yourself except for the physical body, it might be easier to see the possibilities. We are influenced every day by our friends, co-workers, and families. Influence by discarnate souls is different only in the sense that it comes from the spiritual realm.
How Does Outside Influence Happen?
Outside influence can be the result of attachments from past lives. In other cases, it occurs in traumatic circumstances, such as severe and prolonged illness, hospital stays, including operations, and traumatic accidents. Trauma such as rape can be influenced by discarnate spirits. Addiction is another situation that discarnate spirits attach to.
Discarnate entities can cause serious disruption of relationships, finances, and health. Outside influence can cause illness and accidents, as well. In the news recently was a story about twelve teen-age girls in New York State who are suffering from Touret’s-like symptoms. So far, the cause of these symptoms has not been determined. Environmental pollution and other factors are being explored. Perhaps as we become more open and less frightened of paranormal phenomena, exploration of spirit possession will be considered as a matter of course in situations like this. Freeing discarnate entities heals on many levels.
Mental hospitals are full of discarnate spirits. Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len is a Hawaiian psychologist and master teacher of ho’oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian healing practice. During his time as a staff psychologist at Hawaii State Hospital in a high-security unit housing criminally insane patients, he used ho’oponopono to completely change the energy in the unit. Patients were transformed from violent, shackled men feared by staff members to individuals able to take responsibility for their actions and engage in useful activities. The quality of life for patients and staff shifted from custodial to caring. Family visits took place. Staff turnover decreased markedly.
This happened without Dr. Len’s presence in the ward and without therapy sessions with the men. Ho’oponopono healed the discarnate entities as well as the patients in the ward. You can read about Dr. Len’s fascinating experience in the book “Zero Limits” by Joe Vitale and Dr. Len. You may also want to visit Dr. Len’s website.
What Are the Symptoms of Outside Influence?
Much of our mind chatter is due to influence from discarnate entities. We even have language that expresses the phenomenon of outside influence: “I’m just not myself today,” “I’m not quite here,” “That’s not like me,” “I don’t know what got into me.”
Symptoms of discarnate entity influence can be subtle or obvious. Any negative emotional state that one can’t seem to shake, such as anger, depression, anxiety, feeling unloved, isolated, or inferior can be due to outside influence. Thoughts that are not characteristic, such as thoughts of suicide or doing violence are often from outside influence. Cravings and obsessions can also be due to outside influence.
What Can We Do About Outside Influence?
Thoughts are things. It’s important to be aware of your thoughts and what they are doing to your quality of life. If one spends a great deal of time and energy in a negative state of mind, sooner or later s/he will attract a discarnate entity who is in the same state of mind. Then it becomes necessary to get help to free the unwanted entity. Our thoughts and beliefs are so powerful that they affect everything in our lives. Taking responsibility to change negative habits is the most important thing we can do to reduce the incidence of outside influence.
I encourage everyone to learn more about entity attachment in order to dispel the fear associated with it. If you Google “spirit releasement therapy” you will find good web sites with reliable information shared by professionals in the field. Any source that sensationalizes entity attachment is using it as a means to attract attention and is not a good source of reliable information.
Part of my mission is to show that the physical and spiritual realms are two sides of the same coin, and we live in both realms in every minute of every day. Consciously using all the potential we were born with can be an amazingly exciting adventure. I hope this series has been interesting and enlightening to you.

What is exorcism?
A definition of exorcism by the Free Online Dictionary says exorcism is a ceremony to expel an evil spirit from a person or place. Most Christians know exorcism through the Catholic church as a violent and frightening process. Other Christian religions such as Pentecostals and other charismatic groups also practice exorcism. It has been practiced for centuries worldwide in Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and among tribal cultures.
In the Christian religion, the key concept in exorcism is that an entity who has taken over a person’s body is an evil demon and must be removed forcibly. This creates a battle between the “demon” and the exorcist(s), each side determined to show the other who is right. When the “demon” is finally expelled from the body, it is made to swear an oath or commanded to depart rather than being directed to a specific destination. It seems the person, now freed from influence, is not given any counsel about how to remain free of outside influence in the future.
I have never worked with “demons,” but in counseling a client once, I saw a group of violently angry entities waiting for her, and I knew that if she continued on the path she had been pursuing, she would eventually meet up with them. She had been hurt so deeply by an important person in her life that she was unwilling to forgive, and she was on her way to being taken in by this group.
A more recent method of dealing with disembodied spirits involves seeing them as confused souls who need healing rather than as evil entities. While soul releasement was part of my metaphysical training, other psychotherapists, such as Dr. Edith Fiore, developed their own methods of freeing confused souls as a result of surprise encounters during psychotherapy sessions. Dr. Carl A. Wickland was a pioneer in the field of abnormal psychology who practiced soul releasement with much success. Dr. William J. Baldwin called the process he developed spirit releasement therapy. The process goes by different names, depending on who developed it, but it is conducted basically the same way with minor variations.
How It’s Done
I conducted many soul releasement sessions (which I call entity release) in my practice of psychotherapy, so I’ll share with you the way I did it. My first priority was to determine that my client’s disturbing feelings were due to a possession and not something else. Next, I began working with the attached entity, either through a psychic medium or through my spiritual guides. My client was a witness, and not a participant in this part of the process, although I would check with my client from time to time to see how s/he was relating to what was occurring as I worked with the entity.
To begin, I asked the entity to identify itself, tell me why it was with my client, and what it wanted. After clarifying this information, I let the entity know that it had passed on and no longer had a physical body. I let the entity know how it had been negatively influencing the client, and that it was time to go on to the next step in its evolution.
Sometimes the confused souls were unwilling to move on. They may have felt frightened or angry or that the client needed them for protection, so I would address their concerns. After resolving their concerns, I would introduce them to their own spiritual helpers, who were prepared to take them to the light, where they would be lovingly welcomed.
Once it was established that the entity was willing to go, I asked the entity and my client if there was anything they wanted to say before leaving. Usually there was forgiveness given and received, or love and reassurance expressed, then goodbyes, and the entity would go into the light with its spiritual helpers.
The sessions were emotional for the client and the entity; sometimes the attachments were due to misguided love. Whatever the attachment was about, healing always occurred. This was the reward for me. I had the fulfillment of witnessing healing of my client, as well as of the formerly attached entity. The final step was to regroup with my client, coaching him/her on how to stay clear of further attachment and how to alter the habits that had attracted the entity.
The most important thing about conducting this non-confrontational type of soul release is that spirit conducts the session. The facilitator never gets emotionally involved with the entity and is guided by spirit through every step of the process. If an entity becomes difficult, it is important to allow the spirit guides to handle the situation. I remember an entity visiting me several days before a scheduled session.
I noticed him in my house, floating near the ceiling, and at first he seemed threatening. I eventually realized he was afraid of losing his attachment to the physical, as he knew about the impending session, and was checking me out. I did not address the entity directly, but told my spiritual helpers I was willing to allow him to observe me, and I wanted them to see that he did not try to influence me in any way. He left my house after a couple of days, and the session for his release went smoothly and easily.
Soul releasement is perfectly safe when it is conducted in an organized, step-by-step manner. Providing a safe structure gives the confused soul boundaries and the security it needs to engage in the process.
The next, and last, article in this series will be a kind of summary and will talk about the symptoms of influence by a disembodied spirit.
It is well understood that everything is energy – even thoughts are energy. Our thoughts, beliefs, and memories create an energy pattern around us, making us magnets for similar thoughts. Every thought we think travels and reverberates into infinity. We live in a psychic soup full of thoughts and influences from everywhere. Many of the thoughts that we take for granted are ours are really impressions we pick up from others.
Paranormal studies in thought projection have shown that a subject can pick up a thought no matter how far away he/she is from the person projecting that thought. It happens in everyday life. When you think of a friend and that friend phones you shortly after your thought, you have picked up your friend’s thought of calling you. It’s natural. Every thought we think influences something or someone. Fortunately, we have the power to choose our influences. Unfortunately, most of us are not aware of this power we have.
We pick up impressions from other dimensions, as well. Ancient wisdom has taught the existence of many dimensions of consciousness. Science is investigating the existence of other dimensions. Psychic mediums routinely communicate with souls who have passed on into another dimension.
It’s not news that thoughts attract like thoughts. If, for instance, you wake up in the morning and stub your toe while getting out of bed, then spill the coffee you just made, and bump your head on the shower door, you are probably still upset about stubbing your toe. Your original upset has been carried forward into your day. If you change your thoughts, your day will change.
If you keep the upset over stubbing your toe all through your day, your day will likely get bumpier and bumpier while your mood becomes darker and darker. If this goes on long enough, you will likely attract a confused soul who has the same mindset as you, just as you seem to be running into grouchy people all day. It’s physics. Like attracts like. Even though the phrase has almost become a cliche, “change your thoughts and change your life” is the way life works.
You can think of souls who pass on in confusion as people just like yourself who are trying to hold onto old patterns because they don’t know any better. If they were compulsive eaters in physical life, they are still looking for ways to keep on eating. They seek attachment to a compulsive eater so they can fulfill that need. The same is true of souls who passed on with a compulsive need for drugs, drinking, smoking, and sex. They will find someone with their same need and try to attach themselves. It’s what they do. It’s the only life they know.
Instead of fearing them, we can be healing these souls and releasing them. Soul releasement is a powerful healing practice; the spiritual equivalent of psychotherapy. People are released from the influence of confused souls, and confused souls are free to move on to the next step in their spiritual evolvement. Although soul releasement therapy is not yet well known in the United States, it is a growing profession.
To sum up, confused souls do not like positive energy and cannot exist in it. When you change your energy from negitive to positive, they have to move on and find someone else to attach themselves to. I wrote an article about a year ago called The Unquiet Dead which goes into detail about the influence of confused souls and how to avoid it.
You are in charge of your thoughts and feelings. No disembodied soul can influence you unless you give it permission. If you have uncontrollable emotions, if you have thoughts that are not characteristic of you, or if you have addictions, read the article and practice the energy techniques described in it. Taking charge of your energy is the first step in resolving your own confusion and opening the way to spiritual freedom.
Next time, I’ll talk about soul releasement and exorcism.
